Upon completion of this course, the student shall be capable of:

  • Navigating the SigmaWin 100 and the IndexWorks environments.
  • Commissioning both the Sigma II servo (Drive only) systems and the NS600\Sigma II servo (Indexer\Drive) systems
  • Selecting and editing the parameters within the Sigma II system
  • Configuring and programming the NS600
  • Troubleshooting the systems with the available diagnostic codes and messages

Prerequisites Course Overview
Experience with Microsoft Windows operating system.

This course will be divided in 2 day segments. The first two days focused on the Sigma II and the last two days covering the NS600.  Hardware will be provided for the many hands-on exercises.  Each of the Sigma II servo system control methods will be covered.   The SigmaWin 100 software environment will be discussed in depth.  Topics will include modifying parameters, manual jogging and tuning with the graphical functionality of the software.

The second half of the class will concentrate on the hardware and the software features of the NS600.  Students will be instructed on the concepts of programming and commissioning of the NS600 servo system.
