General Information Objectives

Course Code: CS1/CJ1
Course Length: 4 Days

Upon course completion the student will be able to:

  • Program basic logic operations     (AND, OR, OUT, etc.)
  • Program Timers and Counters
  • Program Comparisons
  • Perform basic data manipulation (MOVE, XFER, etc)
  • Program basic math functions
  • Utilize CX Programmer for programming and troubleshooting PLC programs.
Audience Topics
This course is intended for engineers and designers who are responsible for creating or modifying PLC programs for the Omron CS1 or CJ1 family of processors. Students with the need to program other Omron PLC products will also benefit from this course.

Prerequisites Course Overview
Experience with Microsoft Windows operating system. This course provides the basic skills necessary to develop CS1/CJ1 PLC programs utilizing the basic functions of the CPU. Students are taught to write ladder programs using CX Programmer. All student programs will be installed into either CS1 or CJ1 PLC’s for program validation.
